American River Bank Bill Young Memorial Charity Golf Classic Raises $23,000 for AMRB Foundation and Christmas Promise
(firmenpresse) - SACRAMENTO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/13/12 -- American River Bank, a community bank serving the Greater Sacramento Area and Counties of Placer, Sonoma and Amador, today announced it has raised $23,000 through the Bill Young Memorial Charity Golf Classic. All funds will be donated to Christmas Promise, a locally based non-profit organization helping families during the holidays and the American River Bankshares Foundation, a program of American River Bankshares (NASDAQ: AMRB) that annually funds local non-profit organizations that assist women and children. Since 1988, the Bill Young Memorial Golf Classic has raised over $465,000 for these two causes.
"With the outstanding support of our wonderful clients and friends in 2011, we managed to raise more money for our charities despite a slight dip in the total number of participants," stated Don Sager, Co-Chairman of the Bill Young Memorial Charity Golf Classic Board and Senior Vice President with American River Bank. "Our dedicated sponsors' support has enabled us to generate substantial funds for our two charities each year since inception of this event."
The AMRB Foundation supports organizations that create opportunity, enhance self-esteem and provide physical and emotional well-being for the most vulnerable women and children. Christmas Promise brings the joy of Christmas to families that would normally go without by providing new items for each member of the family.
