Flightsurance Air Travel Cover is the first and only accident insurance specifically designed for airline passengers which offers a worldwide cover of €1 million. The product is a novel technology-based customized Air Travel Insurance which insures business and leisure travellers against accidents during flights. The air travel cover is available in the UK and Ireland through the website of Flightsurance. It can be purchased by residents of the 27 EU states and is valid for more than 230 airlines worldwide.

What is more, the Flightsurance air travel coverage is not only valid during the flight itself: The entire time in between passing the boarding gates and arriving at the destination airport is covered which means that passengers are insured during their stay at transfer airports as well.
The payout amount in case of an accident is covered by two major international insurance and reinsurance groups: QBE and Swiss Re. On the new website there is not only the opportunity to book, it is also possible to query country-specific information concerning the air travel protection.
