RagingWire Successfully Completes PCI Data Security Standard Validation
(firmenpresse) - SACRAMENTO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/18/12 -- RagingWire Data Centers, the nation's premier data center provider, announced today that it has successfully validated compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The PCI DSS compliance assessment was conducted over an extended period of time.

RagingWire's PCI DSS compliance assessment encompassed its two Sacramento data centers (CA1 and CA2) which total over 500,000 square feet of data center capacity. RagingWire makes all auditing and compliance documentation and reports available to customers upon request. RagingWire plans to begin the PCI DSS assessment process at their new VA1 data center in Ashburn, Virginia, upon its completion during Q1 2012.

The PCI DSS is a comprehensive set of standards that require merchants and service providers that store, process, or transmit customer payment card data to adhere to strict information security controls and processes. It was created by the founding brands of the PCI Security Standards Council, which includes American Express, Discover Financial, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa Inc. The PCI DSS compliance assessment centers on IT security policy, cardholder data protection, network access and monitoring, and organization vulnerability management.
The assessment was performed by BrightLine CPAs & Associates, Inc. (), a certified public accounting firm and Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) that provides assurance and compliance services to global companies. The scope of the assessment included the applicable requirements of version 2.0 of the PCI Data Security Standard for validation of "Level 1" service providers. Following the completion of the assessment, a Report on Compliance was issued to reflect RagingWire Data Centers' full compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard.
