Company to Demonstrate "CFC-400-SMA" at BiOS and Photonics West 2012 Exhibitions in San Francisco, California

(firmenpresse) - MORGANVILLE, NJ -- (Marketwire) -- 01/18/12 -- , an innovative supplier of and processing solutions, introduces "," an designed to quickly and efficiently create a high-performance, clean fiber end face on an optical fiber mounted in an connector. Vytran will demonstrate CFC-400-SMA at the Photonics West 2012 exhibition from January 24th through the 26th and at the associated BiOS exhibition January 21st and 22nd in San Francisco, California.

"Vytran's new CFC-400-SMA is a unique tool aimed at replacing the long and costly polishing process that is currently used for grooming the end of an optical fiber that has been mounted in a connector," said Jean-Michel Pelaprat, Vytran president and CEO. "CFC-400-SMA creates a high-quality cleave with a polish-like finish in a fraction of a second. There is no polishing residue and therefore no post-processing necessary."

CFC-400-SMA is specifically designed to accommodate fibers mounted in SMA-905 connectors. It is ideal for high-volume cleaving applications in markets ranging from medical and fiber laser to telecommunications.

Vytran will demonstrate CFC-400-SMA at Photonics West booth 611 and at BiOS booth 8611 at the Moscone Center. For added convenience, attendees can schedule appointments to discuss their unique fiber processing needs by contacting Jim Stathis, Vytran sales manager, at or by emailing .
