Splendid Film: New TV Licence Agreement Concluded with Telenet for Belgium
(Cologne - 19.01.2012) - Splendid Film GmbH, Cologne, subsidiary of
Splendid Medien AG, Cologne, has concluded a new agreement with Telenet
N.V., Mechelen (Belgium), on the TV licensing of feature films in the
Benelux countries.
Over 40 titles have been licensed for one year each, including last year's
new acquisitions 'Chinese Zodiac' by and with Jackie Chan and other top
stars of Asian cinema, the animated film 'Seefood', and the action films
'Six Bullets' with Jean-Claude van Damme and 'One in the Chamber' with Cuba
Gooding, Jr. and Dolph Lundgren. The Nazi satire 'Iron Sky' is also among
the licensed titles.
The agreement covers broadcasting on pay TV and as video-on-demand and thus
continues the successful collaboration between the two media companies that
began in 2009.
