LOUIS, MO -- (Marketwire) -- 01/23/12 -- Sikich LLP, a leading public accounting and advisory firm, has added three new Midwest partners: Scott Brenan; Jennifer Wood, CPA; and James R. Savio, CPA, MAS. With the admission of these exemplary professionals, Sikich is furthering its strategic growth plans in the Midwest.
Individually, each of these new partners brings a specialized expertise, new energy, and leadership to offices in Naperville, IL, Rockford, IL, and St. Louis, MO. These high-quality leaders have demonstrated their ability to foster and maintain the consultative client relationships that comprise the heart of Sikich. Each has made a significant mark on Sikich and their clients, and they will continue to contribute to the success of the firm, their colleagues, and their clients.
Brenan is the partner-in-charge of Sikich's technology office in St. Louis. He specializes in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and Microsoft Office SharePoint Servers and oversees quality assurance for all Dynamics NAV deployments. He has more than 15 years of experience in ERP consulting, in virtually all aspects of the business. Brenan also serves as a project manager and/or solution architect on complex projects. Brenan graduated from McKendree University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, and is a board member for the NAV Directions Partner Conference and Microsoft Dynamic NAV Product Advisory Board.
Wood is a tax partner in the Rockford, IL office and serves as the firm's director of international tax services. She has extensive experience in utilizing tax planning strategies for privately held businesses and their owners and specializes in tax planning and consulting services including mergers and acquisitions; tax credit identification; and international, multi-state, and local tax planning. She has also overseen the preparation of corporate, partnership, and individual income tax returns. Wood received her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Northern Illinois University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and serves as a board member for the Rockford Chamber of Commerce.
Savio is responsible for providing technical services to Sikich's governmental clients in all areas of governmental accounting, auditing, financial reporting, revenue and expenditure forecasting and cash and debt management. He has participated in hundreds of audits of municipalities and other governmental units since he began his career with Sikich in 1995. He has also been responsible in developing and serving as lead instructor for governmental accounting, auditing, financial reporting, and cash management courses both internally and externally. Savio serves on the Illinois Government Finance Officers Association's Technical Accounting Review Committee. Savio received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and his Master's of Accounting Sciences from Northern Illinois University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS), and Illinois Government Finance Officers Association (IGFOA).
