Pershimco Announces Its Position to Certain Statements of Offence Issued by l'Autorite des Marches Financiers
(firmenpresse) - ROUYN-NORANDA, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 01/27/12 -- Ressources Pershimco Inc. (TSX VENTURE: PRO) (FRANKFURT: BIZ) (the " Corporation " or " Pershimco ") wishes to inform its shareholders of the filing of statements of offense by the Autorite des marches financiers (the " AMF ") against the Corporation and Mr. Roger Bureau, Chairman of the Corporation's Board of Directors, representing total penalties up to $512,510 (the " Statements of Offence "), in which the AMF claims that despite the exemptions invoked by the Corporation, Pershimco had the obligation to file, for approximately twenty subscribers, a prospectus relating to the private placements concluded December 29, 2006, October 10, 2008, January 13, 2009, December 17, 2009 and February 2, 2010 (collectively, the " Placements ").
Having recently received the evidence supporting the AMF's allegations, Pershimco's management wishes to inform its shareholders that it will vigorously contest the allegations giving rise to the regulatory authority'statments, and intends to take all necessary measures to defend its rights and its shareholder's rights.
