Swinton Taxi's Search for 'Cabbie of the Year'
(firmenpresse) - MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 01/29/12 -- Swinton Taxi Division, the UK's leading high street retailer of is searching for the country's greatest cabbies with its inaugural 'Cabbie of the Year 2012' awards.
Taxi drivers with a heart of gold are being encouraged to enter the competition to win the coveted title of 'Cabbie of the Year 2012' as well as a cheque for GBP 1,000 and will also drive away with year's free - a prize worth thousands of pounds.
Swinton Taxi Division is also offering prizes of GBP 500 for second place and GBP 250 for third.
To enter cabbies, or their nominator must describe in no more than 150 words why they are worthy of receiving the lucrative title of 'Cabbie of the Year 2012' and Swinton's expert judging panel will decide on a winner.
The competition opens for entry on 1st February 2012 and closes on 30th April 2012. Presentation ceremonies for the lucky winners will be held at the UK's largest private hire and taxi trade exhibition, Private Hire and Taxi Monthly in May 2012 at The Ricoh Arena.
Alex Cooke of Swinton Taxi Division said: "Taxi drivers do so much for their community with many of us relying on them on a daily basis, whether it's to get to and from school or work, and even in emergency situations. We're urging all those taxi drivers or those who know a taxi driver who continuously drives the extra mile for their customers to enter our competition.
"Perhaps they've raised lots of money for charity, helped someone in need or have simply served their community flawlessly throughout their career. Swinton Taxi Division and the taxi industry want to recognise these achievements in our Cabbie of the Year 2012 competition.
