WITAN'S 35th French Market Is Coming Soon
(firmenpresse) - AKRON, OH -- (Marketwire) -- 02/01/12 -- Brighten your winter days and celebrate the coming of spring at WITAN'S 35th annual on February 24 and 25, 2012 at Todaro's Party Center. Todaro's is located at 1820 Akron-Peninsula Road in Akron, Ohio.
The is a juried arts and crafts show where shoppers will enjoy the talents of more than 45 artisans and craftsmen from Ohio and neighboring states.
The annual benefits WITAN'S Community Project Fund, which provides grant money and allocations for numerous non-profit organizations and services. Two of WITAN'S beneficiaries for 2011 include Good Neighbors (to replenish food pantries) and Faith Promise (for homeless families).
WITAN'S will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $6 at the door.
A delicious lunch prepared by the women of WITAN will be available both days from 11:00 - 2:00. Be sure to stop by the pantry to purchase WITAN pepper jelly, quiche, and a variety of other scrumptious homemade goodies. Complete the day at with a beautiful fresh flower basket from the Sustainer Garden. Spring will definitely be in the air!
Raffle tickets will be sold for a chance to win one of several fabulous baskets and prizes donated by local businesses. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.
Since 1943, women of WITAN have granted more than $1.2 million to the community through fundraising efforts.
In 2002, the members of WITAN incorporated the acronym Women In Touch With Akron's Needs into its name to help define the purpose of this giving organization and its commitment to the community.
