20th Apprehension and 10th Removal of "Wanted by the CBSA" Individuals

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/01/12 -- The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today announced the apprehension of Ian Getfield and the removal of Delson Jules. Both are listed on the "Wanted by the CBSA" list.

Ian Getfield was apprehended by Toronto Police Service on January 31, 2012, in the Greater Toronto Area. Getfield is inadmissible for serious criminality. He has been convicted of possession of narcotics, two counts of failure to comply with release conditions, trafficking in a narcotic, theft under $5,000, possession of break in instruments, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, assault, failure to attend court and two counts of obstructing a peace officer in Canada. Getfield is currently in CBSA detention.

Jules is the 10th individual from the "Wanted by the CBSA" list to be removed. He turned himself in to the CBSA earlier this month and was removed from Canada on January 31, 2012. Jules is inadmissible to Canada for serious criminality. He has been convicted in Canada of criminal harassment, uttering threats and assault.

To date, as a result of the "Wanted by the CBSA" program, Canadians have assisted in locating 20 individuals in Canada and four individuals abroad. As of today, the CBSA has removed 10 of these individuals from Canada.

Members of the public are reminded that they should not take action to apprehend the individuals listed on the CBSA Web site. Any information on the whereabouts of these wanted individuals should be reported to the CBSA Border Watch Line at 1-888-502-9060.
