Piers Morgan to Be Honored at BritWeek 2012
California's Annual Celebration of British Creative Contributions to the Golden State Will Run From April 24 to May 7 in Los Angeles
(firmenpresse) - BEVERLY HILLS, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/08/12 -- BritWeek is pleased to announce that Piers Morgan will be honored at "An Evening with Piers Morgan" on May 4th at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. In BritWeek's sixth year, Morgan will be the latest in a pantheon of influential Brits who have participated in this annual celebration of creative fusion between Britain and California.
BritWeek 2012 will kick off on April 24th with a VIP reception at a Hancock Park mansion and continue through May 7th, offering a range of festive and memorable events throughout Los Angeles, Orange County and San Francisco. The Los Angeles program encompasses film and television, music, art, academic links, fashion, design, cuisine, retail, sport, technology, philanthropy and business innovation, with the emphasis always on creativity and excellence.
In addition to the BritWeek 2012 gala evening with Piers Morgan, which as usual will benefit a children's charity, major events include the third annual BritWeek UKTI Business Innovation Awards dinner on April 25th (competition judges include Ian Callum, Design Director at Jaguar, BritWeek's lead sponsor) and the fourth annual BritWeek Film and TV Summit hosted by Variety on April 27th. On May 5th, Christopher Guy, designer of the world's most fabulous furniture, will host the elite of the LA design world at the red carpet opening of his new West Hollywood showroom; he will present his second annual BritWeek Design Awards and honor the world's leading milliner, Philip Treacy, who serves as a judge for these awards. Other events will be announced over the coming weeks.
BritWeek founder Nigel Lythgoe (American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance) welcomed the 2012 BritWeek season.
