HEUFT pro sweets: the new dimension in the inspection of confectionery
More and more food producers are relying on the know-how of HEUFT SYSTEMTECHNIK GMBH, a company which has been number one for a long time as regards the quality assurance of drinks. The company will be presenting itself for the first time at the ProSweets Cologne 2010 exhibition with systems which redefine the state of the art in the inspection of confectionery.

(firmenpresse) - Tracking down product residue in empty moulds for the production of chocolate and sweets, verifying the coding on packaging and identifying foreign objects in paste-like, spreadable and liquid confectionery: this is all possible with HEUFT systems specially developed for these tasks which can be experienced live and in action at the international supplier fair for the confectionery industry from 31 January to 3 February (Stand A-008 / Hall 10.1. / Koelnmesse).
Remarkable detection performance
These systems are based on the internationally proven HEUFT SPECTRUM TX standard devices and are all equipped with the highly precise HEUFT reflexx image analysis technology. They can be tailor-made in accordance with customer-specific requirements due to their modular construction which is upward compatible at any time and are impressive even at high line speeds due to their remarkable detection performance.
The HEUFT moCheck empty mould inspection
The HEUFT moCheck checks empty moulds for the production of chocolate, chocolates, toffees, fondants and sweets for product residue and thus replaces mechanical scanning devices which were usual until now. The new inspection system detects completely full cavities just as reliably as the smallest remnants inside these hollow spaces. A specific colour analysis even makes this possible in surroundings where the colouring hardly varies from that of the product. Damage to the empty moulds is also identified. The HEUFT moCheck triggers off the replacement of the mould in question or alternatively emits an alarm signal in all these cases. This prevents the risk of soiling due to the product overflowing and contaminating the end product with non-brand contents or germs.
The HEUFT VX OCR code reader
The HEUFT VX OCR not only checks the presence of best-before dates and barcodes on confectionery packages but also verifies their correctness. The new development even reads coding which is difficult to identify in front of a dark background precisely. The system removes incorrectly coded packages from the production flow.
The HEUFT eXaminer XA foreign object inspection
The HEUFT eXaminer XA not only detects dangerous foreign objects such as pieces of broken glass or metal splinters in soft drinks but also in jams, spreads and cocoa powder. The packages in question are consistently removed by the full container inspection. The particularly low-radiation, pulsed X-ray measurement and highly efficient image analysis and filter technologies ensure maximum detection accuracy with a minimum false rejection rate.
Highest level of operating convenience
The multilingual HEUFT PILOT graphical user interface with an intuitively understandable menu prompting and extensive auxiliary tools ensures the highest level of operating convenience as is the case with all the HEUFT SPECTRUM TX devices. The systems can be integrated into the local network without a problem by means of plug and play. Whether control system, trouble shooting or analysing production counters - the complete functionality of the device is therefore not only available at the devices themselves but also at each connected office computer. Furthermore this networking makes it possible for the experienced specialists of the HEUFT TeleService to have full access to the prompting of the HEUFT SPECTRUM TX systems: they can see parameters, signal statuses and inspection pictures live and carry out the necessary adjustments or maintenance work from a distance as though they were on site. Also possible: a direct connection to production data acquisition systems for line analysis such as the HEUFT PROFILER.
The new dimension in the inspection of confectionery
The new developments which HEUFT will be showcasing at ProSweets Cologne 2010 mark a completely new dimension in the inspection of confectionery in order to continuously monitor and safeguard the quality of your products with lasting effect. You can see their performance for yourself from 31 January to 3 February: Stand A-008 / Hall 10.1. / Koelnmesse
