Mr. Robertson brings over thirty years of experience as a seasoned Investment Manager. He has a broad background in equity investing and fixed income trading in both cash and derivative markets. He most recently spent ten years at Manulife Financial in Toronto, Ontario, where he served as the Vice President, Proprietary Investments (Equities). Prior to that, he was Vice President, Government Trading at CT Securities and Vice President, Fixed Income Trading at JP Morgan Canada.
He has a successful track record of leading research teams, and generating substantial value and growth through all market cycles. With his deep experience in global , proprietary trading, risk management, macroeconomic analysis and portfolio and trading desk management, Jamie Robertson is a welcome addition to the McLean & Partners team.
Mr. Robertson will lead the of five, providing independent research in , preferred shares, and investments. He will be focusing on three main pillars. The first is risk management-even during market downturns, Jamie Robertson has proven to produce above average returns through his specialty in managing risk. The second is developing an appropriate execution thesis for capital allocation. And the third pillar is team building and leadership.
