Vancouver, BC February 14, 2012 – Dorex Minerals Inc. - TSX.V-“DOX” (“The Company” or “Dorex”) is pleased to announce that it has commenced an exploration program on its Tres Hermanos Property, Mexico. The objective of the exploration program is to map to identify and quantify mineralized structures, alterations zones, and lithologies; relate observed areas of interest to adjacent properties and projects; sample mineralized areas to obtain strategic and comprehensive data and prepare base on which follow-up work including drill target generation will be developed. The area to be explored is approximately 3km2 and about 700 rock chip and channel samples will be taken and send to laboratories.
The Tres Hermanos property lies within the Batopilas mineral district, in the prolific Sierra Madre Precious Metal Belt in the southwest corner of Chihuahua State, Mexico approximately 180 kilometers southwest of Chihuahua, the capital city of the State of Chihuahua. This belt is famous worldwide for producing large amounts of gold, silver and copper. The Tres Hermanos Mine Property is comprised of eight contiguous exploration concessions comprising an area of 328 hectares.
On October 11, 2011 Dorex Minerals Inc. announced that it had signed an Option Agreement with Cia Minera De Oro Tres Hermanos SA., a private Mexican company, whereby Dorex has an option to earn a 75% interest in the Tres Hermanos Mine Property by spending US$3,500,000,00 in exploration, including due diligence, administration, and exploration expenditures, within three years of the Effective Date of the agreement, and by paying a cumulative total of US$1,450,000.00 before October 24, 2015 (US$220,000 already paid).
