Michael Elliot, CEO, said, "We are delighted that this specialty food processor has adopted one of our NSF International Registered, Eco-Safe Ozone Disinfection Systems for their plant in Los Angeles. They deal with a variety of foods, but they ordered our system specifically for the processing of fish eggs, or roe. Immediately after installing our demonstration system they reported they were extremely pleased with the improvement of their roe. Roe processors are particularly concerned about listeria contamination and have routinely reported nearly a hundred-fold greater reduction in listeria counts when using ozone disinfection rather than traditional chemicals. Accompanying this benefit is a shelf-life extension of the roe, so this truly becomes a value-added product."
