St. Luke's Chooses StratITsphere Data Center to Protect Vital Technology
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 02/23/12 -- St. Luke's Episcopal Health System (St. Luke's) will house its mission-critical systems in StratITsphere's Tier-IV-design Alpha Data Center, the companies jointly announced today.
"Good health care depends upon medical professionals having the right information when and where they need it," said Stephen Webster, StratITsphere president and CEO. "We'll be using the resources of the Alpha Data Center to help make sure that the doctors, nurses and other professionals at St. Luke's have that information constantly available at their fingertips."
Alpha will protect and maintain St. Luke's data, including medical records, and information technology systems. St. Luke's also will employ StratITsphere's secure private network services, powered by two Cisco Nexus 7000 switches. This service will allow St. Luke's to cost-effectively access storage space and computing power located almost anywhere and make it available to employees wherever they may be. This will grant St. Luke's more mobility and resiliency for employees and the technology they use, Webster said.
