New England Law Firm Recognizes Significant Anniversary Milestone With "The 150 Project"
(firmenpresse) - PORTLAND, ME -- (Marketwire) -- 02/29/12 -- Verrill Dana, a full-service law firm with headquarters in Portland, Maine, today announced it has launched "The 150 Project" to celebrate 150 years of service in Maine. Verrill Dana traces its roots back to 1862, when Byron D. Verrill began practicing law. The firm plans to mark its upcoming "birthday" by demonstrating its ongoing commitments to public service, philanthropy, the legal profession and the communities it serves in an innovative way.
Through The 150 Project, Verrill Dana will facilitate and recognize the donation of time, money or property -- in increments of 150 -- by attorneys or staff. Multiple teams from the firm's offices around New England have assembled to create their own "150" initiatives to benefit a range of causes, from fighting homelessness to planting trees to improving the environment. One upcoming event will be Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine's "Bowl For Kids Sake" in April.
