SIPCOM Unveils GSN 2.0, a Commercial Grade Microsoft Lync Hosted Platform
(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 03/06/12 -- today unveiled GSN 2.0, a comprehensive hosted communication and collaboration platform which enables fixed and mobile telecom operators, system integrators, resellers and hoster's to quickly and economically enhance their service offering.
Global Service Network ("GSN") 2.0 further enables ASPs and other commercial service providers (CSPs) to meet the growing market demand for outsourcing a variety of business applications while reducing the overall administration and management costs associated with cloud-based applications.
SIPCOM made the announcement today at the Unified Communications Expo 2012 in London Olympia. The UC Expo is the UK's leading unified communications event.
Commercial Grade Services and Rapid Deployment
GSN 2.0 scales to millions of users, supports internet standards and can be managed from multiple interfaces. GSN 2.0 provides interoperability with carrier backend systems which preserves existing infrastructure investment.
During the past year SIPCOM has worked closely with Microsoft to develop GSN 2.0 for communication and collaboration services including telephony, conferencing and collaboration features.
SIPCOM has been selected by Microsoft Corp. to help create the Microsoft Lync Hosted Pack Reference Architecture. As part of the process SIPCOM designed, built and now operate 4 points of presence (PoPs) within data centers in the United Kingdom, France and North America as well as providing the engineering and testing to prove the reference architecture met Microsoft's requirements. The project brought together technology vendors including Juniper, Dell, Brocade, Acme Packet, Level 3 and Radvision.
