ZoomMed Enters Into a Strategic Alliance With Smart eCharts a New York-Based Healthcare Service Provider

(TSX VENTURE: ZMD) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, ZoomMed USA, has entered into a strategic alliance agreement with Smart eCharts a New York-based Healthcare service provider, which develops and offers Web-based Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to U.S. HealthCare Professionals.
The agreement provides that ZoomMed's web-based e-Prescribing platform "ZRx Prescriber" will be interfaced with this new partner's solutions, allowing Smart eCharts and ZoomMed to communicate and exchange information between their respective platforms, in order to generate aggregate and transmit electronic prescriptions to pharmacies, via Surescripts® Nation's E-Prescription Network. By interfacing their respective solutions, Smart eCharts will complement its portfolio of solutions and ZoomMed will gain a privileged access to another network of healthcare providers and institutions.
