Project Planning Software Competes With Microsoft

Used by NASA, the United Nations and 7000 customers around the world, the Company is already gaining substantial market share in the online project planning space. Originally created as an online equivalent of Microsoft Project, the product has expanded to include not just all of the most commonly used features from Microsoft tools, but an online dashboard, charts and reports. These additional features give it an edge over Microsoft Project as it is also cheaper and simpler to use, at just $25 per user per month.

At the crux of the product is its which enables users to create Microsoft Project like plans and share them with their colleagues online. The Gantt chart is allows up to 10,000 tasks to be created on a single webpage, which Nicholson says is the best in the market at present.
After creating the Gantt chart online, the Company extended the software further in 2011 by adding so that users could manage tasks across multiple projects at the same time. One of the unique features within the ProjectPlan.com is the ability to be able to see the actual, planned and baseline views all at the same time. This unique feature allows users to identify whether they are ahead or behind schedule. As team members are updating their task status daily, their Manager can view real-time, whether they are currently on track.
Last month, the Company released their on the iPad, iPhone and Google Android platforms. This enables users to access their tasks from any mobile device. ProjectPlan.com is one of the few applications in the World that is fully integrated with Google Apps including Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Docs.
