Classic Bergsprint calls for pilots!

We are excitedly awaiting one of the fastest and longest hill racing tracks of Germany for the first ever “automobile mountaineering”.

Engage the gear - and step on it
Moviano – historische Fahrwelten Gmbh – has created a new spectacular motorsport highlight because of the 5th anniversary of the Classic Sprint: an unique hill race for vintage cars – the “Classic Bergsprint”. The 3.5 km track at the gates of Pappenheim is fast and challenging – it takes you through the picturesque natural landscape of the franconian Altmühl valley and through beautiful dense forests. We are expecting starters from all over Europe, because the tradition of hill races has a loyal and huge fan base.

A challenge for the chosen ones
Manager Uwe Wießmath: “The hill race testing uniformity, takes place on a blocked route with all in all 4 runs: The track consists of 3.5km, 11 turns and 3 chicanes and up to 130 meters of altitude.” Many fans are eagerly awaiting this motor sports event with is unique atmosphere. “Admitted cars are vintage cars and classic cars, racing sports and formula cars, Monopostos, Three wheeler, motorbikes and combination, racings bikes and combination as well as Kneeler up to year of construction of 1983. The starting positions are limited up to 100 competitive vehicles.”, reports Uwe Wießmath.

The spirit is spot on – here you will meet friends
Nevertheless the Classic Bergsprint is not only a hill race: the elite of historic hill climbers meets in Pappenheim to challenge each other and to exchange their views in a friendly atmosphere. The legendary spirit of the Classic Sprint “From friends – for friends” applies for the Classic Bergsprint, too. This is also reflected in our discount on the entry fee for participants, who have to travel more than 100 km to take part in our event. In this way our nationwide and international participants will get to know the metropolitan region of Nuremberg and beautiful Franconia. The drivers are obliged to start with original safety equipment. This will emphasize the historic impression of the event. By the way „From friends- for friends“ implies: Spectators can watch the race for free, of course.
