(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Financial results - revenues and profitsEkornes generated gross operating revenues of NOK 2,587.9 million in 2009, NOK85.2 or 3.2 per cent less than in 2008. Measured at fixed exchange rates,underlying revenues are down by 5.6 per cent.The Group's consolidated operating profit in the year to 31 December 2009totalled NOK 499.6 million (19.3 per cent), compared with NOK 462.7 million(17.3 per cent) in 2008. This is an increase of 8.0 per cent.Profit before tax for the year totalled NOK 461.9 million (17.8 per cent),compared with NOK 497.0 million (18.6 per cent) in 2008. This is a reduction of7.0 per cent.Profits were negatively affected (NOK -36.7 million) by a write-down in thevalue of balance sheet assets as a result of a stronger NOK (up NOK 37.5 millionin 2008).Profit after tax came to NOK 324.7 million, compared with NOK 347.6 million in2008. This corresponds to an earnings per share of NOK 8.82, compared with NOK9.44 in 2008.Gross operating revenues in the fourth quarter 2009 totalled NOK 679.4 million,compared with NOK 744.9 million in the corresponding quarter last year. This isa reduction of 8.8 per cent, or 5.6 per cent measured at fixed exchange rates.Operating profit in the fourth quarter 2009 totalled NOK 165.4 million (24.4 percent), compared with NOK 149.7 million (20.1 per cent) in the same period theyear before.
