Takeover by VBG Group: GERWAH and RINGFEDER join their assets on the market
(firmenpresse) - Using synergic effects, expanding market shares together: the RINGFEDER Power Transmission GmbH from North Rhine-Westphalian Krefeld and the GERWAH GmbH from Bavarian Grosswallstadt will be working together closely in the future. The Swedish VBG Group is taking over GERWAH GmbH and its associated companies, which include a manufacturing company in the Czech Republic and a US-American marketing company, on 1st January 2009. The merger of the two companies will take place in the coming months. Thomas Moka, managing director of the VBG unit Power Transmission, will take over the executive chair in Grosswallstadt.
'We expect this acquisition to generate manifold synergic effects', says Moka. 'GERWAH and RINGFEDER areboth well-known and firmly established on the market as manufacturers of top-quality components.' RINGFEDER has made a name for itself in the field of shaft-hub connections. With GERWAH they have been able to win experts for couplings and enlarge their portfolio. 'This has been another step on the way to becoming a full-range supplier in the field of driving technology', the new managing director of GERWAH says with anticipation.
The trademarks GERWAH and RINGFEDER will continue to exist and the personnel structure at GERWAH's headquarters will not change either. 'We plan to expand further and work up a turnover of 30 million euros with about 100 employees in the business unit Power Transmission', says Thomas Moka, describing the business perspectives for the up-coming years.
Both companies see great potential in the takeover of GERWAH GmbH. For one thing, the global presence can be increased, for another the product portfolios complement each other perfectly. RINGFEDER, for their part, supply clamping sets for large facilities like wind turbines while GERWAH offers a large portfolio of smaller sizes.
