2G releases record set of preliminary sales figures

Heek, March 19, 2012 - 2G Energy AG (2G), one of the leading German
manufacturers of combined heat and power (CHP) plants, significantly
exceeded both analysts' and its own communicated revenue expectations again
in the past financial year. In their most recent studies analysts had been
assuming EUR 158 million of revenue for the 2011 financial year, while the
company generated around EUR 167 million of consolidated revenue according
to preliminary figures (previous year: EUR 91.8 million) - reflecting 82%
growth compared with 2010, and 227% compared with 2009. Earnings also
improved further, in line with expectations, with the EBIT margin
prospectively lying in the 11-12% range (previous year: 10.5%).
Internationalization and production expansion advance
As planned, 2G Energy AG's internationalization advances further in the
current financial year, following last year's new founding of three foreign
subsidiaries. The new founding of 2G Manufacturing Inc., which is based in
Florida, USA, represents an important step in this context. 2G's own local
production will strengthen its presence in this high-growth and important
market.
A marked reduction in transportation costs, greater independence from
currency exchange-rate fluctuations, and the strengthening of customer
confidence through 2G operating its own local subsidiary underpinned this
decision.
The construction of new production halls at the Group's headquarters in
Heek, Germany, commenced a few days ago in order to continue to be able to
serve expected sales growth in Central and Eastern Europe. The new
construction enlarges the local production area by an additional 3,000 m²which results in a total of 12,000 m². It is assumed that production will
commence on these areas no later than in the autumn of this year.
The company will present its complete annual report on May 31, 2012,
detailed preliminary figures will be published beginning of April.
