Cal eConnect Leadership Change Announced

Kremer Withdraws; Landry Assumes Top Post

(firmenpresse) - EMERYVILLE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/19/12 -- The Cal eConnect Board of Directors announced today that Ted Kremer has decided to withdraw as CEO and remain at the helm of a local regional health information organization in Rochester, New York. Laura Landry, who has been interim CEO, will assume the top post.

"While we are disappointed with Ted's decision, we want to assure the California health care community that Cal eConnect is continuing to move forward with its strategy for connecting California," said Don Crane, Cal eConnect Board co-chair and president and CEO of the California Association of Physician Groups.

"The organization will continue to be led by Laura Landry, who has done an excellent job as our interim CEO over the past six months. We have a strong staff and a highly supportive relationship with the State, as well as funding from a federal grant to California for health information exchange (HIE). Our strategy has been developed in collaboration with hundreds of people around state who are invested in the success of HIE in California and was recently recognized by the head of the federal health information technology program as being in alignment with national strategy. We look forward to making rapid progress over the coming months," added Crane.
