HPCC Systems Is an Open Source, Big Data Analytics Processing Platform
(firmenpresse) - ALPHARETTA, GA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/20/12 -- LexisNexis® Risk Solutions announced that Charles Kaminski, Senior Architect and Bill Fox, Senior Director, Health Care will speak at GigaOm Structure Data in New York on how HPCC Systems™ found potential fraud in a government sponsored health care benefit program. LexisNexis is leveraging its technology to help uncover complicated fraud schemes and collusion. As an alternative to Hadoop, HPCC Systems is an open source, enterprise-proven platform to process big data analytics.
Mr. Kaminski will discuss the various technology components of HPCC Systems, the data processing engine, the data delivery engine and the data-centric language called Enterprise Control Language (ECL). Mr. Kaminski is a senior architect and academic development lead. Prior to LexisNexis, Mr. Kaminski was the CEO of DataScout, Inc., an internet startup focused on analyzing internet data, and he also worked for NASA and Accenture.
Mr. Fox will give an overview of the state health care program, the fraud challenge, and how the HPCC Systems technology was able to identify potential complicated fraud and collusion. Prior to LexisNexis, Mr. Fox was vice president of Program Integrity at MAXIMUS Federal. He was previously a partner at the law firm of Post and Schell, a deputy chief of Economic and Cyber Crime at the Philadelphia District Attorney's office and a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in Philadelphia. Mr. Fox is a senior fellow at the Jefferson School of Population Health in Philadelphia and a frequent speaker on topics of health care fraud, compliance, and quality.
