SEVEN STAR PRODUCTIONS ACQUIRED BY HOLLYWOOD CLASSICS NETWORK
Paul Webb, Chairman and CEO of Hollywood Classics Network, announces the acquisition of Seven Star Productions, which was founded 35 years ago. The film and video production company was formed by four professional film makers in 1975 as a service company to organizations needing media production and consultation.
Since its inception it has produced many film and video productions for individuals, corporations and organizations, and has garnered several awards and recognitions. One of its films, a documentary, was recognized by then President Ronald Reagan who purchased copies for all members of Congress and the Supreme Court. The text of the film was read into the Congressional Record. This same film was recognized and recommended by Pope John Paul II in a documentary about his own life. The company most recently produced a film for Mrs. Lyndon Johnson for use in her Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas.
One of the specialties that Seven Star developed was the use of film cameras where video screens were present. The synchronization of frame rates was in great demand in that period of time and the company developed considerable success in that area. Many other customers with unusual technical demands have been served over the years by the capable and creative staff.
While the company has produced several outstanding documentaries, it has also achieved some recognition in the production of dramatic films. Most of these were made for the video market.
Seven Star also produced a limited number of commercials. Talent included in these productions were names like Bob Hope, Steve Allen, Jane Meadows, Tipi Hedron, Bruce Weitz and Foster Brooks.
The company has been headed since its founding by Jack Duane Dabner, a veteran film maker of more than 50 years. His experience as a producer, director and writer has earned him several awards and recognitions including Who's Who in Entertainment, Who's Who in California, Who's Who in The World and The International Who's Who of Intellectuals. He was also recognized for Outstanding Contribution to the Motion Picture Industry by the Southern California Motion Picture Council.
At this point in its history, the company is working on production of major motion pictures for both theater exhibition and television utilization. The first production, entitled "Who Moved the Stone?" is now being considered by a major film studio. The company also has film rights to a historical epic entitled "The Exiled Prophet".
Seven Star will become the production arm of Hollywood Classics Network as well as projects on its own.
Hollywood Classics Network promises to offer its viewers a quality of programming that will greatly enhance the lives of its viewers and therefore outstanding growth and revenue for the network.
