SiTime and SE Spezial-Electronic agree on cooperation
Bueckeburg, 21 March 2012 - SE Spezial-Electronic AG extended the sales program by MEMS oscillators of SiTime Corporation. Recently, both sides signed a franchise agreement. Thus, with immediate effect, SE offers the complete oscillator program of the American manufacturer to its customers.
(firmenpresse) - Effective on 1st March, SE Spezial-Electronic AG is distributor of SiTime Corporation and responsible for the sales of all products of this company in Germany and in a number of further European countries. SiTime and SE Spezial-Electronic signed a corresponding agreement recently.
SiTime is an international leading company for the development and manufacturing of oscillators with MEMS resonator. The delivery program includes standard oscillators (XO), spread-spectrum oscillators (SSXO), voltage-controlled oscillators (VCXO), digitally controlled oscillators (DCXO), temperature-compensated oscillators (TCXO) and clock generators (multi-output). For all previously named products there are versions with unbalanced output (frequency range 0.2 MHz to 220 MHz) and with differential output (frequency range 1 MHz to 800 MHz) available.
The resonators become manufactured by the MEMS First™ process, developed by SiTime. This process, based on a standard CMOS technology, allows the manufacturing of hermetically encapsulated oscillators, that are especially compact, stable and durable. The combination with an oscillator ASIC also developed by SiTime leads to robust and inexpensive oscillator products with a first-class technical specification. Now the MEMS oscillators of SiTime can become used very advantageously as clock or timer for many applications that were previously reserved for crystal products. These are for example industrial and medical devices, communication technology and consumer products.
