Their smart CAM solutions for improved CNC manufacturing of tire moulds and the resulting gains in speed and efficiency attracted the attention of numerous visitors.
OPEN MIND Technologies AG is highly satisfied with how the new features of their tire mould module were received at Tire Technology. Tire manufacturers were offered a glimpse into some of the new features and optimisations that will be provided in the upcoming version of this hyperMILL® application module. Highlights of the new version include the fully CAM browser-based interface design and automated program generation functions that greatly simplify and speed up programming. Creation of NC output for each segment is aided by automatic sorting and rapid toolpath connections. Also, all tool paths are checked for collisions for each tire segment geometry and all machine components. Intelligent milling strategies for typical geometries implemented in the new hyperMILL® tire package significantly reduce both programming and machining times.
