DFE Chemie GmbH of Düsseldorf, Germany, winner of the industrial award 2011, is continuing to grow and impress ever more people in the steel industry with its FEPORID® series of high-efficiency pickle-inhibitors. The company will be presenting its products in China at the German Pavilion of the exhibition"Metal + Metallurgy China 2012"from 9 to 12 May.
DFE Chemie GmbH at METAL + METALLURGY CHINA 2012(firmenpresse) - In 2011, the Huber Verlag, a German publishing house, already held their sixth competition for the German Industrial Award. Around 500 contestants stepped up to present their most innovative developments and entertained hopes for the coveted award. In the end, FEPORID® 388 won against strong competition in the Suppliers category.
The pickling inhibitor of DFE Chemie GmbH
FEPORID® 388 is a highly effective pickling inhibitor used as an additive to acid to protect the steel surface against acid attack. This prevents the all too typical over-pickling and thus results in a higher surface quality of the steel. This and other advantages swayed the jury of scientists, industry experts and economic journalists.
Award-winning efficiency
The major challenge when pickling steel is to prevent the acid from attacking the metal without reducing the actually intended effect of the acid. The developers worked long and hard to solve this problem, with success. Only around one litre of the inhibitor FEPORID® is required for every 1,000 litres of acid in the pickling process. That is far below the amount that is usually needed. DFE"s pickling inhibitor is therefore extremely efficient. The pickling rate remains steadily high even with highly sensitive steels and at high temperatures. It protects the steel surface and thus optimizes the action of the acid itself.
Environmental protection comes first
FEPORID® 388"s greatest benefit of utmost efficiency is also a benefit to the environment and mankind. Lowing acid consumption namely reduces the ultimate burden on the environment, by reducing HCl vapours, for example, which would otherwise present a hazard to people.
Attested innovation
The German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWI) has already sponsored DFE Chemie GmbH many times as an "innovative company" at its exhibition appearances in Germany. In 2010, DFE had its first chance to make direct contact with customers and distributors in China at the "China International Industry Fair (CIIF)". These contacts will be reinforced and new customers gained at "Metal + Metallurgy China 2012" from 9 to 12 May. DFE Chemie GmbH will be one of the exhibitors at the German Pavilion in Hall W1. There, at stand B19, interested visitors can find out more about the pickling inhibitors of this innovative company.
