Sonde Resources Corp. Correction to Year End 2011 Financial and Operating Results

("Sonde" or the "Company") (TSX: SOQ) (NYSE Amex: SOQ) announced yesterday the release of its financial and operating results for the year ended December 31, 2011. There is a correction to the the following statement:
Natural gas prices continue to decline and the Company has identified approximately 588 mcfpd (not boepd) that are candidates for shut-in in the interim and will not focus on gas related projects until a sustainable economic recovery in natural gas prices is demonstrated.
