North Houston's Premier Group of Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Specialists Welcomes New Physiatrist - Expanding Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 03/26/12 -- Premier orthopedic and sports medicine group of North Houston, , is pleased to announce the addition of to its team. This addition expands the center's scope of services in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Specializing in Physiatry in the treatment of as well as general , Hume brings to the group extensive experience in interventional pain medicine and physical and rehabilitation electromyography.
Prior to joining KSF Orthopaedic Center, Hume completed a fellowship in interventional pain management at Spine Technology and Rehabilitation in Fort Wayne, IN.

His understanding of neck and spine disorders and extensive physiatric training is a tremendous asset to KSF and the community," said Dr. Andrew Kant, a founding partner of KSF Orthopaedic Center and orthopedic surgeon specializing in spinal disorders and general orthopedics.
A member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Texas Medical Association and the Harris County Medical Society, Hume believes in a comprehensive approach that identifies the root cause of a problem and employs the least invasive treatment available.
"I believe in the body's tremendous ability to heal and to adapt. Working closely with my patients, we're able to address many problems using less invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, physical therapy, and lifestyle modifications," said Hume.
Hume earned his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC and completed his residency in general surgery at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington and the Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY. He completed residency training in Pain Management and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn.
