Tired of the Same Events? Civilian Military Combine Announces the Return of the Ultimate One Day Competition for Competitors in DC, MD, VA, DE & PA
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 03/27/12 -- Civilian Military Combine () is the ultimate one-day competition in the Mid-Atlantic set for April 21, 2012 with an additional event May 19, 2012 at Camelback Mountain, PA. With the inclusion of four judged lifting events and a five mile mountain course with massive military obstacles, Civilian Military Combine will not be your average mud run or road race. This event will test an athlete's all-around level of fitness. Geared towards individuals as well as teams from gyms, CrossFit boxes and Corporations, CMC promotes setting a collective goal of training together and working towards a CMC finish!
With an expected field of 1,000 - 2,000 athletes, the events are designed to test the participants in unique ways. The CMC competition is broken down into three components to test strength, endurance and agility. Race day structure will consist of "The PIT" (lifting element) into a five mile mountain race with 25 strategically placed military obstacles. The PIT is designed to be the great equalizer by leveling the playing field between power athletes and endurance runners to determine the best overall conditioned athlete. This race structure has been carefully created, refined and reviewed by the top strength and conditioning coaches from the CrossFit community, United States Armed Forces and USA Triathlon Organization Race Directors.
With the emergence and popularity of these events, a diverse field is expected on race day. Awards will be presented to Top 3 Teams for Male, Female, and Co-ed as well as top 3 Male and Top 3 Female. Team participants will be eligible for individual awards.
