Minister of National Defence Announces Canadian Forces Senior Promotions and Appointments

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 03/27/12 -- The Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence, is pleased to announce this year's initial list of senior Canadian Forces (CF) promotions and appointments. These officers lead the CF in defending Canada's values, interests, and sovereignty at home and abroad.

"The wealth of knowledge and skills these senior officers possess contribute greatly to the effectiveness of our Canadian Forces," said Minister MacKay. "The men and women of our military serving under their stewardship are extremely fortunate to benefit from such strong institutional leaders."

"These men and women have demonstrated the merit, the potential and the professional attributes that will enable them to excel in their appointments," said General Walt Natynczyk, Chief of the Defence Staff. "I am proud of them and am confident they will lead our Canadian Forces to secure Canada and our national interests."
