BMO Capital Markets Appoints Ashi Mathur as Head of Canadian Real Estate Investment & Corporate Banking
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 03/30/12 -- BMO Capital Markets, the investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group today announced the appointment of Ashi Mathur as Head of Canadian Real Estate Investment & Corporate Banking.
Mr. Mathur will be responsible for all of BMO's real estate investment & corporate banking activity as well as property brokerage. He will report to Peter Myers, Head of Investment & Corporate Banking, Canada.
Mr. Mathur has more than 16 years of investment and corporate banking experience. He joined BMO Capital Markets in 2001 and has served as Co-Head and subsequently Head of the Media & Communications group. Mr. Mathur has been the lead advisor to a number of the firm's senior clients with respect to mergers & acquisitions, recapitalizations and both debt and equity financings.

BMO Capital Markets has a dedicated real estate team of more than 25 I&CB professionals and four research analysts in Canada and the U.S. The firm's coverage and brokerage teams are able to provide a full range of products and services to public and private real estate companies and to major pension funds with real estate portfolios. These include M&A advisory and brokerage, public and private placements of debt and equity, loan products, cash management, securitizations and a full range of risk management and treasury products.
Mr. Mathur holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Masters degree from the University of Waterloo and received his Chartered Accountancy designation in 1994.
Mr. Mathur serves as a Foundation Trustee for The George Hull Centre for Children and sits on the Advisory Council for the School of Accountancy and Finance for the University of Waterloo.
