Dieselmedaille 2012: Diesel Board of Trustees Accepts Nominations Until May 13
(firmenpresse) - MUNICH, GERMANY -- (Marketwire) -- 04/05/12 -- Preparations for the 2012 DIESELMEDAILLE Award are in full swing. This award is the longest standing and most prestigious award of its kind. The Diesel board of trustees, whose chairman is Professor Dr. Alexander Wurzer, accepts this year's nominations until May 13.
As in previous years, 16 nominations in 4 categories will be announced. The categories are Best Innovation, Longest Lasting Innovation, Best Media Communication, and Best Sponsorship in Innovation. The Nominees will be presented in early summer. The panel of experts will choose one winner from each category who will receive the Dieselmedaille in gold.
The 2012 award ceremony will be held Nov. 30 in the Ehrensaal of the Deutsche Museum with approximately 200 invited guests and extensive media coverage. "What all nominations have in common is that they honour not only the creative aspect but also proven economic success of an innovation. Therefore, the Deutsche Institut fur Erfindungswesen (DIE, German Institute for Invention) is looking forward to receive nominations that are beyond the development phase and are already established in their target markets," explains Dr. Heiner Pollert, Chairman of the DIE.
Last year's Dieselmedaille was awarded to: Best Innovation - Karl Schlecht, Phd. hon., Putzmeister Group; Longest Lasting Innovation - Helmut Nagele and Jurgen Pfitzer, TECNARO GmbH; Best Media Communication - "Einfach Genial", Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR, Middle German Broadcast); Best Sponsorship in Innovation - Zentrales Innovations programm Mittelstand (ZIM, Central Innovation Program), BMWi.
