Aschheim (Munich), April 16, 2012; On April 1, 2012, Wirecard Technologies
AG, a Wirecard Group company, acquired material assets from NETRADA Payment
GmbH, with its registered office in Mainz, Germany. This includes customer
agreements for payment and risk management services for international
online shops for well-known premium fashion industry brands. In addition,
as a preferred partner for NETRADA, in future Wirecard will provide payment
services for select NETRADA customers, including Görtz, Lacoste and Puma.
A cash purchase price in the low single digit million euro range has been
agreed. This is due for payment in the second quarter of 2012. Wirecard AG
is anticipating a positive contribution to earnings in the current fiscal
year.
In addition, a multi-year strategic alliance agreement has been concluded
with the NETRADA Group for cooperation for payment and risk management
services. As a global eCommerce service provider, NETRADA develops and
realizes end-to-end eCommerce solutions for well-known fashion and
lifestyle brands.
This acquisition and the agreed strategic alliance has reinforced Wirecard
AG's position as a payment service provider for branded goods manufacturers
in the fashion and textiles industry, which is currently one of the fastest
growing eCommerce market segments.
Wirecard has an international presence with locally networked units, and
provides multinational card and payment acceptance agreements. Both locally
and globally relevant payment methods are available via the Wirecard
platform.
In addition to the focus on eCommerce for mail order and multi-channel
commerce, many customers from the tourism, digital goods,
telecommunications and financial services sector trust the Wirecard Group's
solutions.
