Early indications suggest the US will encounter a particularly active tornado season over the coming months so the ability to receive severe weather alerts via pushed notifications is an invaluable and potentially life-saving feature. The new App also leverages a new feature of the iOS 5 operating system by enabling users to share alerts and weather forecasts via the App's Twitter integration.
