Huakan International Mining Inc. Announces Changes to Management
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/19/12 -- Huakan International Mining Inc. (TSX VENTURE: HK) (the "Company") announces the appointment of Mr. Pengzhi Guo as Chief Executive Officer to replace Mr. Kunpeng Li, who has stepped down as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. The board of directors (the "Board") would like to thank Mr. Li for his service to the Company and wish him success as he takes up other duties with the Huakan Group in China. Mr. Wenhong (Wilson) Jin, B.Sc., Senior Engineer, a director of the Company, will resign as Chief Geologist and VP Acquisitions to become the President of the Company.
Mr. Pengzhi Guo has been a director of the Company since 2010 and also serves as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Guo is a Senior Engineer with over 17 years experience in the mining industry, including employment as a mine manager and metallurgist for several operations and projects in China. Mr. Guo currently serves as the Assistant General Manager of Tianjin Huakan Group Co., Ltd. and General Manager of Tianjin Huakan Mining Investment Co., Ltd.
Mr. Wilson Jin has 20 years experience in the exploration and acquisition of precious and base metals in Asia, Africa and North America. He worked in the Northwest Non-Ferrous Metal Exploration Bureau in China for 15 years and for Sino Gold Mining Limited for 2 years. Mr. Jin joined the Huakan Group in China in 2009, prior to joining the Company in 2010.
