Softing - Echocollect now also for SINUMERIK 840D
Softing - Echocollect(firmenpresse) - Softing’s echocollect now offers the opportunity to provide higher level systems with numeric control data from Siemens SINUMERIK 840D for instance for OEE and MES tasks. Echocollect is a gateway between PLCs linked via serial connection or Ethernet and data bases (Oracle, dB2, MySQL, MS-SQL) or ERP applications (e.g. SAP). For this purpose, echocollect supports the communication protocols of various PLC manufacturers. Even distributed process data are collected nonreactive and passed on as process images to the specific data base. The transmission is initiated through triggers which can be parameterized. In case of a lost connection, all data can be buffered on a SD Card. After the connection was re-established the time stamped data are finally send. For the optional integration via Classic OPC, a compatible OPC Server is available.
