(firmenpresse) - CORDOBA, ARGENTINA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/23/12 -- Researched by Industrial Info Resources Latin America (Cordoba, Argentina) -- Panama plans to increase installed capacity of generation by 720 megawatts (MW) with 30 new hydropower plants. Seventeen of these projects are in a preliminary phase and seven are in an engineering phase, for a total investment of approximately $200 million. The remainder of the projects are under construction for a total investment of about $583 million. According to the program, these power stations are planned to be completed by 2016.
