Revolver Resources Inc. Announces Completion of Helicopter-Borne Geophysical Survey on Chita Property
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/25/12 -- Revolver Resources Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: RZ) is pleased to announce that it has retained Aeroquest Limited to carry out an AeroTEM 1V time domain electromagnetic survey and a magnetic survey over a 35 square kilometer block within the Company's Chita property claim block.
The principal geophysical sensor in Aeroquest's AeroTEM 1V time domain EM system was employed in conjunction with a high-sensitivity cesium vapour magnetometer. The total survey coverage was approximately 304 line-km. The survey was flown at 100 metre line spacing in an East-West direction. The survey took place on February 20th to February 23rd of this year.
The survey was successful in mapping the magnetic and conductive properties of the geology throughout the survey area. The magnetic data provided a high resolution map of the distribution of the magnetic mineral content of the survey area. This data will be used to interpret the location of geological contacts and other structural features such as faults and zones of magnetic alteration. The time domain EM data indicated that a there are a number of conductors on the block that need to be followed up with prospecting, geological mapping, rock and soil geochemistry.
The property is located in the Intermontane belt of Cretaceous volcanic rocks in central British Columbia. In this area of the province, the dominant rock types are volcanic and sedimentary rocks of Cretaceous age. The Taylor Creek group and Powell Creek Formation are the principal rock groups of the property intruded by Upper Cretacous granodiorite and quartz porphyry stocks and small batholiths. Intrusive rocks are hosts of the main Chita showing and most mineralization of value on the property. The structural setting of the property is a very complex set of faults, the main structure being the Chita fault.
The geological environment of the property is suited to host a number of deposit types. The principal targets are alkalic porphyry copper (gold/molybdenum) deposits similar in nature to the deposits of the Fish lake property (Prosperity Mine), 18 km for the northeast and to the inferred deposits of the poison Mountain property 40 km to the east.
The Chita property consists of 54 contiguous mineral claims located in the Clinton Mining Division in British Columbia, comprising approximately 23,000 hectares. Two mineral showings are reported on the property; the Chita showing and the Taseko Mountain showing. The Chita showing is the most representative of porphyry styles of mineralization.
