(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 04/27/12 -- Atlantic recording artist Cody Simpson has announced plans to star in a new film titled Finding Cody. The scripted, choose your own adventure movie is set for release this June.
Currently in production in Los Angeles, Finding Cody is truly unprecedented -- the first YouTube choose your own adventure-style film starring a major musical artist. The film will feature multiple annotations allowing viewers to click and choose innumerable paths to reach the exciting conclusion, a surprise that will be every fan's dream come true.
Directed by filmmaker Michael Canzoneiero, from a script he co-wrote with Marco Ricci, Finding Cody stars Gatlin Green and Lia Marie Johnson, herself a genuine YouTube sensation with over 11 million individual video views. The film follows self-proclaimed "biggest Cody Simpson fan in the world" Lucy in her quest to see her idol performing live in concert. Though faced by an array of obstacles -- the show is sold out and she's just been grounded by her mom -- with the viewer's choices guiding their way, Lucy and her best friend Lily might well make their dreams come true.
Among the certain highlights of Finding Cody will be a behind-the-scenes, all-access tour of a Cody Simpson concert. The full-length event is slated to be filmed Saturday, April 28th at Anaheim's House of Blues.
