Barrett-Jackson Gears Up for 3rd Annual Orange County Collector Car Auction
"The World's Greatest Collector Car Auctions(TM)" Returns to Southern California June 22-24
(firmenpresse) - COSTA MESA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/30/12 -- Barrett-Jackson, The World's Greatest Collector Car Auctions™, is pleased to announce the return of its renowned Orange County collector car auction, held June 22-24, 2012 at the OC Fair and Event Center. This year's auction is expected to bring tens of thousands of visitors including bidders, consignors and enthusiasts from around the world to view millions of dollars' worth of Classics, Exotics, Muscle Cars, Hot Rods, Resto-Mods and Contemporary Collectibles as they cross the auction block.
SPEED will broadcast 16 hours of live, high-definition TV coverage of the Barrett-Jackson Orange County auction Friday - Sunday, June 22-24. The hours will be from 2 p.m. PDT to 8 p.m. PDT on Friday, June 22 and Saturday, June 23, and from 12 p.m. PDT to 4 p.m. PDT on Sunday, June 24.
The Barrett-Jackson festivities in Orange County will kick-off with the exciting 3rd Annual Orange County Cruise-In at Connell Chevrolet on June 17 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. This is a free event for spectators and enthusiasts. Vehicle registration is also free, while proceeds from food and beverages along with donations will go to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The first 100 registered vehicles will receive two complimentary passes to the auction and discounted tickets will also be sold. Entrants will vie for three "Barrett-Jackson Choice Awards," which will be chosen by the Barrett-Jackson executive team, and three "People's Choice" awards, which will be voted on by event spectators.
"Southern California is without a doubt the car culture capital of the U.S.," said Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson. "We are proud to be able to offer some of the finest collector cars and provide fun family lifestyle events for enthusiasts and spectators."
The Opening Night Gala will take place on Thursday, June 21 at 7 p.m., where guests can enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and live music, while gearing up to view the highly coveted horsepower.
The auction will also feature events and activities for the whole family including live demonstrations, Ford and GM Ride 'N Drive opportunities, nearly a hundred exhibitors and much more. A complete schedule of events will be announced in the coming weeks.
