(firmenpresse) - BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI -- (Marketwire) -- 05/03/12 -- Laurie Cunnington, President of Ward Williston Oil Company, Bloomfield Hills, has assembled a group of leading Michigan executives to identify nominees for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneurial Winning Women™ competition, a national leadership program that identifies a select group of women entrepreneurs whose businesses show strong growth potential.
Michigan nominees, who must have reported a minimum $1m in sales for the last two fiscal years, will be recognized at a luncheon held by Cunnington on May 10th at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.
"We are looking to identify a strong winner, not only in Michigan, but we want a winner that can take it all the way to the national competition," said Cunnington.
Guest speaker at the luncheon will be Michelle Crumm, President of Present Value, LLC. In addition, Cunnington has assembled three of Michigan's most successful past Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year winners, Florine Mark, Weight Watchers Group, Jack Aronson, President, Garden Fresh Salsa and Lori Blaker, President/CEO of TTi Global to serve on a high impact panel to discuss building and scaling a business.
"This program provides critical resources and advice for second-stage women business owners whose companies have emerged from the start-up phase but are not yet large enough for the public markets," said Cunnington.
