Parkland Chooses Active Power for Multimillion Dollar Critical Power Infrastructure Deployment
Deployment to Provide Critical Power Infrastructure to One of the Largest Hospital Projects in the United States
(firmenpresse) - AUSTIN, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 05/03/12 -- To help achieve its environmental sustainability goals without sacrificing availability, Parkland Health & Hospital System will deploy nearly four megawatts of Active Power's high efficiency CleanSource UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems to its new health care campus in Dallas, Texas. All UPS systems shipped in late first quarter of 2012 with ancillary equipment anticipated to ship in the second quarter of 2012.
A total of seven CleanSource UPS systems, totaling 21 flywheels, will be deployed at the new health care campus to provide 100 percent uptime to its data center and imaging centers. The systems will provide both power conditioning and bridge power in the instance of a long term utility outage.

These advantages though don't come at the expense of reliability which is particularly critical for a health care facility like ours."
