Zattikka Acquires Sneaky Games -- Sets Stage for Significant Growth
(firmenpresse) - AUSTIN, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 05/03/12 -- Sneaky Games (), a leading publisher of social games based in Austin, Texas, is pleased to announce that it has been acquired by Zattikka plc, the London-listed social and casual internet games development and publishing company. This transaction is the first stage of an ambitious strategic growth initiative to expand Zattikka's profile in North America, and more specifically, develop its operations in Central Texas.
Zattikka, who recently listed on the London Stock Exchange's AIM market, acquired, as part of its Initial Public Offering (IPO), Sneaky Games, in conjunction with two other private businesses, Swedish firm Hattrick and San Francisco and Shanghai-based Concept Art House, for an undisclosed price.
The acquisition also represents an exit for Austin-based Liahona Ventures, investors in the company since 2010.
As highlighted within Zattikka's IPO statement, the Sneaky Games acquisition is seen as an excellent opportunity to combine social game development and direct marketing expertise with relationships in the gaming industry. The Sneaky Games team has built an excellent reputation in the social games space, having developed and launched a portfolio of three games specializing in the mid-core fantasy role playing genre.
