MichBio Honors Member Companies Recognized as One of Michigan's 50 Companies to Watch
(firmenpresse) - ANN ARBOR, MI -- (Marketwire) -- 05/04/12 -- , the biosciences industry association in Michigan, announced today that two of its members were among those recognized at the Michigan 50 Companies to Watch for 2012 event in Lansing last night.
The two award-winning MichBio member companies are:
(Grand Rapids), a medical and biotech contract manufacturer that specializes in precision injection molding, medical device assembly and medical device design support.
(Kalamazoo), a leading provider of records management, document scanning, data organization and legal support services.
Other bioscience companies recognized included Critical Signal Technologies Inc., a medical alert service provider located in Farmington Hills; MedHub, Inc., a company that creates tracking software for physician training programs located in Ann Arbor; MiDAS Foods International, a company that develops and manufactures a wide range of custom food products and processors in Oak Park; Tekna, a medical devices development firm located in Kalamazoo; and Twin Bay Medical, a pharmaceutical products manufacturer in Williamsburg. In addition, B&P Process Equipment and Systems LLC in Saginaw, a manufacturer of mixing and separation solutions for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, was recognized as Small Business Exporter of the Year.

Michigan 50 Companies to Watch is an awards program that discovers and celebrates the second-stage companies that make an impact in their markets, in their communities and in the state. The awards are presented by Michigan Celebrates Small Business and its founding organizations: the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, the Small Business Association of Michigan, the Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Greater Lansing Business Monthly and the Edward Lowe Foundation. The program honors Michigan-based second-stage companies that demonstrate high performance in the marketplace or exhibit innovative products or processes.
Nominees are judged on factors including exceptional entrepreneurial leadership, competitive advantage, and demonstrable growth in sales and employee base.
