Cash Strapped Drivers Scrap Breakdown Cover to Save Money

The latest research by Asda Breakdown has revealed that worryingly a staggering 8 million (22%) UK drivers don't have any, or are struggling, to pay for breakdown cover.
Putting money before safety, one in four (28%) drivers who don't have breakdown cover blame the rising cost of motoring is preventing them from taking out the financial product.
More and more drivers are trying to cut corners and costs as the high toll of motoring soars. With petrol prices increasing and the summer fuel duty rise looming, it's no surprise that drivers feel they can't afford breakdown cover.
