MPL Appoints New Auditor
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 05/07/12 -- MPL Communications Inc. announces that its Board of Directors has appointed Lipton LLP, Chartered Accountants, as auditors of the company.
The appointment follows the resignation of the former auditors, Cunningham LLP, Chartered Accountants, who advised MPL that Cunningham "has made a strategic decision to focus entirely on providing professional services to privately held companies."
MPL Chairman Stephen D. Pepper said that Cunningham had been MPL's auditor since the founding of MPL in 1988 and he thanked them for their almost 25 years of valued professional service to MPL and its shareholders.
Mr. Pepper said there was no reportable event in the relationship between MPL and Cunningham which may have been a contributing factor in the change and that there were no reservations in the reports of Cunningham LLP for the audits of the two most recently completed periods. MPL is a reporting issuer in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario.
